The Circularity and Natural Rhythm of life
We acknowledge that the land on which we gather, including the Ramona area, is the traditional, unceded territory of the Kumeyaay and Luiseño/Payómkawichum peoples. We honor and pay respect to their elders, past, present, and emerging, as they continue their stewardship of these lands and waters.
"Nurturing Lands; Healing Minds"
We believe that most human suffering - isolation, burnout, conflict - comes from three broken bonds: between people and the land, between people and each other, and between a person and themselves.

Drawing from Chinese medicine and Taoist philosophy, we reconnect these bonds through embodied practice and shared dialogue. We offer a living curriculum without walls. Our classroom is 130 acres of wild California terrain: canyons, ponds, stone shelters, and uncultivated land.

The same hands that learn to read soil and seasons also carry the skills to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and change. We cultivate attention, belonging, and resilience, not by turning away from the present, but by grounding ourselves in something that outlasts it.
A note from the land:
Projects are not finished. We are in process of learning and shaping our ideals from the ground.
The Polaris Foundation sits on 130 acres of wild Ramona land. The main house, the shed and the stone house stands. The pond holds water. The canyon waits.
But many of the programs you see here: the day camps, the herbalism workshops, the regenerative farm, are in their first stage of becoming. We are building new trails, restoring soil, and preparing spaces as fast as the land (and our budget) allows.
What does that mean for you?
Some programs are not yet open for booking
More information will be posted here
Others are open now in a quieter, smaller form

You can walk the land. You can sit by the pond. You can join us on pulling invasive weeds on a Weekend's morning
Your donation or your labor goes directly to what you see
We publish quarterly updates with photos, receipts, and the next bench we built.
We choose to grow in public, honestly, slowly, and with you.
If you want a polished resort, this is not your place. If you want to watch a sanctuary rise from a wild hillside, welcome home.
